On 8 November 2017, Senator Wallin attended a dinner in Ottawa with educators and other parliamentarians in honour of the participants of the 21st Teachers Institute on Canadian Parliamentary Democracy. This event takes place in Ottawa every year and parliamentarians get the chance to meet teachers from their home provinces.
